Peke, I'm not able to replicate this (i.e. non-browsable network paths can be added for me) in 5.1.0.2816, though there's a related bug 0020259. Are you still able to replicate this issue? |

I uploaded Video to FTP observing this issue and most likely same thing is described/observed in 0020259 Steps shown in first part are: 1. Opened File explorer -> manually entered path to access it 2. Copied path off address bar 3. showed what folders/shares are seen on NAS 4. Used Add files -> Add location -> network -> Paste path -> ADD -> Nothing Happen 5. Drag&Drop One file to MM now playing so that it is clear MM can play file As of 01:33 I used same above steps, but this time I used path that can be browsed: 1. Opened File explorer -> browsed to desired test path 2. Copied path off address bar 3. showed what folders/shares are seen on NAS 4. Used Add files -> Add location -> network -> Paste path -> ADD 5. Path is focused in Dialog and checked for adding Expected behavior is that in both cases dialog add pasted track, but as it is hidden and can't be fully focused it just add path to dialog and enable checkbox. |

OK. This is different than 0020259 since it's triggered by the 'Hidden' attribute. 0020259 occurs when the network path isn't discoverable (Hidden attribute isn't set). I'm not even sure whether MM scans 'hidden' files that are on the local drive. |

Files are not Hidden, it is just that folder containing files is hidden from File explorer. You can replicate that for local storage too: 1. Create Music test folder in "c:\Users\<USERNAME>\Appdata\" and name it Test music. 2. Copy few music files there 3. Make sure that Show hidden files and folders is not enabled in Windows Explorer 4. Try to navigate "c:\Users\<USERNAME>\Appdata\Test music\" in Folders tree node (impossible) 5. Try to add local storage "c:\Users\<USERNAME>\Appdata\Test music\" (Impossible) There is workaround. 1. D&D one file from Windows explorer to MM Now playing 2. Select file 3. Press insert and MM will open dialog for scanning that folder 4. Scan folder and all files in that folder will be added to MM library Note: You also can't scan Locate moved missing even you paste full working path "c:\Users\<USERNAME>\Appdata\Test music\" and click ADD (exactly as described at 0020259 Point 3.) |

Yes, hidden files are not scanned/accessible --> this has been always the case.. Should this be changed now? Or should we add a config to Options to enable hidden folders/files ? |
