Summary | 0017698: Devices & Services shows endless hourglass on USB key
Description | I plugged in a USB key that had previously been used for testing synchronization with MM5 and then ran MM5. Upon navigating to the Devices & Services node, the device shows an hourglass endlessly! Debug log/video submitted. Note: a subsequent attempt to sync to the device failed. Tracks not on the sync list appeared to delete, but once copying began the operation got stuck after several tracks and MM had to be force terminated. EDIT: the failed sync is unrelated, as multiple subsequent attempts have succeed. I believe that the failed sync was related to filtering which I was also testing when the failure occurred--looking into that as a separate issue. EDIT2: the bug may just be some sort of UI/refresh problem as I consistently observe the following: 1 Plug in USB key 2 Run MM 3 Switch to Devices & Services --> endless hourglass on the device image! 4 Restart MM --> when MM restarts in the Devices & Services node, the hourglass doesn't appear 5 Switch to a different node and then back to Devices & Services --> endless hourglass on the device image! 6 Click the device and then click the Device & Services node --> no endless hourglass 7 Switch to a different node and then back to Devices & Services --> no endless hourglass (i.e. somehow, clicking the device at step 6 stops the bug from occurring)
