Summary | 0017854: Play Shuffled triggers a change in order of AutoPlaylists set to Auto-Refresh
Description | When using Play Shuffled on a regular playlist or most Auto-Playlists, the playlist remains in its current order (as expected). But if an Auto-Playlist is configured with a Limit (of x files where x < than the number of matching files) and is selected by Random (auto-refresh), then Play Shuffled initially causes the sort order of the tracks to change to the Play order. Interestingly this doesn't occur: - for auto-playlists not set to Auto-refresh (in this case it just transiently resets the display order) - for subsequent attempts at using Play Shuffled on the same playlist (this occurs only in some cases--not sure why) This isn't a huge deal, but it's a bit confusing since it makes it appear as if 'Play Shuffle' changes the order of a playlist (it doesn't), and because the behavior is inconsistent from one time to the next.

This is related to item 2) in 0014553 and actually was one of the reasons why we made it more consistent by using the random variants without "auto-refresh" suffix. But the issue that it briefly (temporarily) replaces the actual auto-playlist tracks by the playing panel tracks is really strange and seems by evidence a bug. |
