Summary0017969: Global search: Global Search do not respect Selected collection
DescriptionGlobal Search do not respect Selected collection.
Steps To Reproduce1. Add criteria to exclude Some files/folders (In my case I have separated .CDA from Music as I have RIP-ed All CDs to FLAC (eg. In Music I have added criteria extension not CDA)
2. Select MUSIC in Tree to be focused
3. Use global search to search for Album "Super Super Hits '97"
4. search will show Music -> Albums -> Super Super Hits '97 and will include both FLAC and CDA
5. Navigate Manually to Music -> Albums -> Super Super Hits '97 and only FLAC will be shown

NOTE in MM4 search only FLACs are shown

Yes, in MM5 the global search is always global.
Collection search is performed by clicking on collection node and start typing (i.e. contextual search within collection).
e.g. navigate to Video and type 'Star wars'

Reopened,
It is confusing Breadcrumb shows Collection search eg. music, but results are "Entire library" and then FMFS doe not work correctly

The worst case I think we should make is that instead "Music -> Albums -> Super Super Hits '97" for Global Search we show "Entire Library -> Albums -> Super Super Hits '97" and show "Entire library" Tree node so that user can temporary use it for navigation.

"Music -> Albums -> Super Super Hits '97" is misleading and as pointed in Description when user navigate files are missing, which lead user to believe that MM miss bunch of files even search return correct result.

NOTE: I agree with reasoning behind current behavior and no change is required on functionality, but this needs to be tweaked/documented correctly a bit in order to make search behavior more clear as there is no clear indication on how contextual search works. Even I needed time to figure out its workings.

Re 0017969:0064002: Can you please elaborate how it should be working as if I understand below should work but it does not eg.
1. Click on podcast Tree
2. Start typing -> Mixfreaks
3. Tree moves to Music and not inside Mixedfreaks podcast

Same thing happens on other Collections
1. Click on Music
2. Start typing -> Queen
3. Toast Shows Search is executed but View do not updates

Only way to trigger Contextual search is to Select Music node -> All tracks (TRack browser gets focused) and only then start typing Queen. Please note that Podcast collection do not have ALL PODCASTS selection and user needs to switch to List view -> Select one podcast list and only then starts to type.

As for breadcrumb showing: For me global search always switches to Home > Search like this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/z9zarbzist7gcj1/screenshot%202021-06-21%2012.34.53.png?dl=0
Isn't this the case for you?

As for clicking Music node and start typing: I guess that it does not work for you because you are doing this within Media Tree and have the '[x] Show all subnodes' enabled ?
This is being solved as 0017810 (see the details there)
