Summary | 0018003: Improved reporting of problems with volume leveling tags
Description | If users manually enter volume analysis values, peak volume calculations are not performed/stored to the tag, resulted in playback artifacts if clipping prevention is enabled. There are a couple of possible solutions: 1) Automatically calculate/store Peak Value when the user manually enters a replay-gain value, thereby pre-empting this issue 2) Report that there's a problem with the tag by: a) Including in 'Files to edit > Unanalyzed volume' any tracks that are missing this value b) Adding to the Track volume (and Album volume?) field an '!' whenever this field is missing. Hovering over it would show: 'Peak volume is missing.'
