Summary | 0018215: It's easy to add many folders for scanning, but very tedious to remove
Description | Users can easily select many folders to be scanned in a single dialog using selection boxes. Unlike MediaMonkey 4 each entry then needs to be individually deleted instead of using the checkboxes.
Steps To Reproduce | 1 Select a folder with 500 sub-folders 2 Deselect 1 of the sub-folders --> MediaMonkey adds 499 entries each needing to be deleted individually

If we can't fix the parent issue #18212, this issue can at least be alleviated by allowing multiple entries in the Scan Folders list to be selected (click-SHIFT) and DELETE (e.g. using the keyboard or one of the 'garbage' icons) at once. That way the user doesn't have to manually and individually delete 500 entries that were accidentally created. |

Verified on 2508, multi-select in Add/Rescan Files allows for deleting multiple selected folders. |
|
The prompt when removing multiple folders: 2) Has no Title 3) Isn't clear that the folders will be removed from scanning. User could mistake it will remove folders from Library. |
|
Title: Remove folders This will remove the selected folders from Add/Rescan Files. Do you want to proceed? |
|
I don't think that a confirmation dialog is required at all. Removing these entries isn't a destructive action except optionally in cases where Cloud content is selected (in which case an option to delete corresponding cloud entries from Library appears). Test note: we should make sure that deletion of a scan location works correctly for: - deleting each type of Location individually - deleting multiple locations of different types (this is probably tricky to deal with) |

Removed confirmation prompt. |

Confirmed 2519 Confirmation prompt is not showing. |
