Summary | 0018472: In some cases status bar indicates many tracks selected even though only 0/1 is
Description | Sometimes, when selecting tracks in the list view using the SHIFT key to select multiple tracks, the UI will show 1 track as selected, but the status bar indicates that many tracks are selected. I noticed this because on one occasion I'd thought that a single track was selected, and when I used the edit tags > switch artist/title command it applied the command to several albums! In the video you'll see 11 tracks get selected even though none are. I'm guessing that the selection action sometimes selects albums from another tab. Note: - The second tab is Music > Genres > Acoustic Rock [list (by album)] - The third tab is Playing [list] - The fourth tab is Playlists > Mix 3 [List]

The issue may be less severe than I'd originally thought--it may just be an issue that the status bar doesn't update correctly, though I'm not 100% certain: - When I replicate the issue now, the tracklist shows no tracks selected but the status bar indicates that x tracks are selected. When I click Tools > none of the commands are active, which means that MMW thinks that 0 items are actually selected, implying that it's just a status bar update issue. - When I'd initially observed the problem though, the tracklist would show 1 track as selected, and the status bar indicated x tracks are selected. I haven't been able to replicate this version of the issue, but it's unclear in this case whether the Tools command would act on only a single track or many. |
