| Description | Some devices (specifically confirmed on few latest Samsung devices S11-S21+ Running Android 11/12) require that MM is allowed to root of SDcard and not just Music folder liek Permission tutorial say. It works normally afterwards, but MM starts to Scan Whole SDcard not just Music folder (and other default folders like Video), which result in adding non wanted tracks to MMA library. Expected behavior would be that no matter if user select Root of SDcard for permissions when asked first time it scans Music, Video, Playlists, ... (default folders) and not rest of SDcard. It is OK if SDcard was previously scanned and permission is already allowed that user can add Root folder to Library folders, but not automatically when adding permissions to SDcard. Expected Behavior: 1. Insert/Format new SDcard 2. MMA asks for Storage access permissions 3. User Select Root of SDcard 4. Only Default folders are scanned 5. User Add additional Storage location (ROOT) 6. MMA scans root and its subfolders. | ||||

No issues on my devices Android 9, 10 and also confirmed on friends new S23 before old phone to new phone migration. Only folders are asked to allow and sync worked normally only thing is that phone do not have SDcard. |
