Visualization needs raw audio data to compute visualization and has to know exact playback timing (what sample is device playing). But in case of casting MM does not decode the file at all and timing is not precise, it only sends the file to the device for playback and receives progress updates. I think trying to synchronously play the file locally just to have visualization data does not make much sense. Assigning to Rusty to decide, I think we should close this. |

Yeah it doesn't seem to make much sense to even attempt to implement visualization for this if it's likely to be out of sync with the audio. Resolving as won't fix, and added todoc to mention this in the casting documentation. |
