I cannot replicate it the same way, but based on logs from MMA Pro it could be NPE.
Also, I have improved MMA Pro refreshing when MMA is installed later and MMA Pro is resumed (related to #0019366).
Fixed in MMA Pro 2.0.0.0023.
Fixed in MMA 2.0.0.1052.
