Summary | 0019657: Crash on Startup
Description | There have been two reports of MediaMonkey 2 always crashing on startup following the upgrade, both on Samsung devices (one in the Play store, and one at ticket 5229). The user at 5229 just submitted the contents of /MediaMonkey (they're in the ticket) so hopefully this is enough to get to the root of the problem. Note: I've tested MMA 2 on an S10 running Android 12 without issue.

Although 0019693 no longer occurs on my Samsung Tablet running Android 11, a user at https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=103421 indicated that their Pixel 7 Pro is still crashing on startup following an upgrade (from the bug, it sounds like there may be a permissions issue). The user indicates that both the MediaMonkey folder and lib/arm64 directory in com.ventismedia.android.mediamonkey-oOhpWQY5r2GQmoqk-TgvOA== are empty |

This issue was also reported at Ticket 5307, where it appears to be a permissions issue (failure to grant permissions to SD card due to the "Path 'SD Card/Music' was not requested. Please choose from the list above." error that was previously described at 0019437 / #19517). Waiting for confirmation as to what build the user is on... |

Ticket 5307 moved to 0019437, which is more related. Ticket 5229 waiting for user's response. and also tracking here freeze on Pixel 7 Pro https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=504954#p504954 |

No response from the user at ticket 5229, but the Pixel Pro user at https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=103421 confirmed the fix. Closing. |
