Neither I nor Rusty see the Save New Order button appear after sorting a Playlist. Also after sorting a Playlist on a column header, you can't manually sort files within the Playlist. |
|
"Also after sorting a Playlist on a column header, you can't manually sort files within the Playlist. " That's intentional since if the sort order hasn't been saved, then moving tracks to re-order them would be an ambiguous operation. |

This regresison was reintroduced by Michal in SVN revision 41321 while fixing 0016622 |
|
Note that the Playlist window does not update the sort order when sorting the list (before saving it) in the Filelisting. |

I think that the current behavior makes sense. The Playlist panels work in the same manner as the Playing list panel. i.e. until a change is committed, the panel displays tracks in the Play order. Note: Martin suggested that it might be useful to communicate this in some way so that it's more intuitive to users, but that would be a separate issue. |
