Summary | 0020400: Program doesn't cover the entire screen when maximized
Description | There is one pixel wide background surrounding all four edges of program when it is maximized, but only when the "Automatically hide the taskbar" in Windows is turned off. The background is(are) the program(s) beneath MM. Windows 11, but IIRC the same was also on Win 7.

I'm unable to replicate this. Is it possibly skin-specific or related to dpi settings? |
|
It happens with all skins. I have the screen with 3000x2000; the problem happens on all scales, I made the screenshots on 175%, just tested 100% and it is there as well. To easily observe the problem, I suggest that you open some application that has very colorful borders around all edges, maximize it and then put the MM above it maximized as well. |
|
Here is the best thing to observe the problem that I could think of: - minimize all windows; - right-click the desktop and choose Personalize; - click Background and choose Solid color; - select red color; - maximize MM. That is with Windows 11 and None Contrast theme. |

@rusty: You are right, this problem is related to the Windows scaling. Here is the update: 1-st case - changing scale while the program is closed: 100% and 125% don't have problem, there is no one pixel wide background around the program and Min/Max/Close buttons work fine. However, all greater scaling have the mentioned problems (>= 150%). 2-nd case - changing scale while the program is opened, steps to reproduce: - close program; - change scale to 100% or 125%; - start program -> works fine as described in the 1-st case; - change scale to >= 150% while the program is opened - still works fine; - restart the program -> it has the problem if scale is 150% or more when opening. |
