Summary0020458: Checking files in grid view is not intuitive and it cannot be skinned
DescriptionI don't use grid view too often, but I started to play with it because I wanted to skin it properly. So, when I first saw those gray triangles in the top-right corner I didn't know their purpose and I though it is some bug. In my opinion, that is not very intuitive look. Especially since there is too long delay between hovering the item and appearing such triangle. The checkboxes in Explorer appear immediately when you hover an item.

Why don't you use the classic check boxes that could be seen in other Windows programs like Explorer?

It doesn't help that these gray triangles are hard to be skinned, if at all. They are especially problematic with Windows Contrast themes, because instead of triangles you get big white squares on all files once when you select at least one file. I will try to resolve that in my skin, but I don't believe it will be possible.

This is the approach that Windows 8 had taken and has long since been replaced. Makes sense for MM to use the contemporary approach as well.

Actually, this thing can be skinned to look as described. You may close this issue.
