Summary | 0020753: Auto-remove Artist from Title after CD lookup
Description | Fairly frequently the CD lookup will return the Artist in the Title. This would be undesirable to most users. MediaMonkey should automatically remove Album Artist from Title if found present. To remove: ' - Album Artist' If for any reason this is considered undesirable for all users an option can be added to Tools > Options > Metadata lookup: Auto-Fix looked up metadata: - Remove Album Artist from Title - Auto-Case Checker - Auto-Split Artists from Title Additional auto-metadata lookups prior to Rip: - Auto-Artwork lookup - Auto-Lyrics lookup Additional option post Rip: - Analyze Volume on Ripped files Users should also be able to select which fields CD lookup uses. Comments would be useless to many (sometimes contains discID. Genre is another field that some users may wish to disable. Making all fields that CD lookup modifies optional would allow users to customize to fit their personal needs. If lookups are enabled, user would be able to initiate Rip, but it would first complete these lookups (if not finished yet). The combination of these things would help users to minimize their tagging needs of ripped CDs.
