| Description | When the user disables the Info Panel lookup under Tools > Options > Metadata lookup, switching to the YouTube tab shows no YT results. This seems unexpected, or if this is expected, the user should be informed why there are no results. Results are shown after manual lookup in Info Panel. Solutions: A. With Info Panel lookup disabled, MediaMonkey doesn't show My Library/YouTube option and only displays library content. Tooltip for Info Panel option should have info explaining that both Info Panel and YouTube will be disabled. This option will likely lead to user confusion. This option should show My Library/YouTube once manual lookup has been done as now it will work (more confusion though). B. With Info Panel lookup disabled, YouTube content would still be displayed. This is what I expected. An new separate option to disable YouTube should then be added which would disable My Library/YouTube options in Info Panel. Benefit is that user can explicitly disable YouTube. C. We leave it as is and rely on tooltip/documentation. This option will likely lead to user confusion as these things are often not read by user. Note that Info Panel option in Background meta data lookup has no Tooltip at all. | ||||

I'd personally would prefer B. It provides more user control and is less confusing. |

I prefer a variant of approach described at B: With Info Panel lookup disabled, YouTube content would still be displayed. BUT there's no need for an option to disable YouTube lookups since it's obvious that clicking YouTube will access the internet (and the whole point of 0017638 was to eliminate non-obvious internet connections). |

Verified 3034 - Info Panel disabled in metadata -> It shows Lookup in info panel -> YT videos listed and info is fetched and Wiki is also looked on YT tab - Info Panel disabled in metadata -> Artist info is not shown lookup is presented - Info panel disabled -> YT Video still listed |
