Summary | 0021077: MediaMonkey crashes on Windows Server (regression 5.1)
Description | As reported at https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=106370 MM 5.0.4 works fine on Windows Server 2016/2019, but MM 5.1 crashes. Note: MMW isn't officially supported on Windows Server since we don't test on Windows Server, but it's preferable that it work so that advanced users who use it in a media server environment aren't prevented from doing so.

Seems to be caused by fix of 0020429 together with the fact, that user has not installed Wireless LAN service. |

User in Ticket 7381 still sees crashing on 3038 with Windows Server 2026. log in ticket. 2019/2022 work fine. [EDIT-Rusty] Note that build 3038 fixed the bug for one of the users, but not the other. |

Problem with Windows Server 2016 was testing error ... user forgot to disable Windows 8 copatibility mode. After disable, MM runs just fine. |
|
Just wondering, could we e.g. detect Win version and in such a case show a more friendly dialog, like 'Incompatible Windows version'? |
