Summary | 0021164: CD edits don't persist (cdplayer.ini isn't updated) (regression)
Description | If the user edits standard fields associated with a CD, they aren't saved to cdplayer.ini (tested with build 3045 portable).
Steps To Reproduce | 1 Insert a CD and click the CD node 2 Select all the files on the CD and edit the Album name --> cdplayer.ini file isn't updated with the edits 3 Click the Home node 4 Click the CD node --> edits are lost!
Additional Information | I don't fully understand the discussion at https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=106557 , but I suspect that this is the root issue of the problem described there

So if in: 3 hit F5 (remaining in the CD node) --> edits are lost! also: 3 Ejected CD 4 Insert CD --> edits are lost! |

Fixed in 3046 |

Verified on 3046, F5, navigating away and back, eject/insert CD, and exit/restart MediaMonkey all had user changes remembered. |
|
There is one issue remaining. When you insert a CD again the user edits can be lost due to CD Lookup. 1 Insert CD 2 Have auto-lookup complete 3 Make some edit 4 Eject CD 5 Insert CD --> Auto-lookup overwrites user edits |
|
Note: although cdtext.ini should probably be used for subsequent cd insertions, if the user right-clicks 'Lookup audio-cd metadata....' , MMW should re-lookup the metadata and it would overwrite the existing cdplayer.ini data. |
