Summary0021285: In some views, Scan functionality doesn't scan expected locations
DescriptionThere appear to be 2 cases in which initiating a scan results in unexpected directories being scanned:

a) if the currently selected track is from the Playing list, MM scans the directory of the last selected track in the tracklist. In this case, the directory of the last-selected track should be scanned.

EDIT: this issue occurs only for Location and Folder nodes.

b) if the active tracklist view is one in which no track is selected [Browser view, Grid by X, List by album] then the directory that MM scans is based on some invisibly selected track. In such cases, no directory should be added/preselected in the Add/Scan list.

So should I understand that reverting 0019080 is preferable?

I agree that it can be annoying especially as it clears previous folder's selection in the scan list and checks just the selected files folder..

As discussed offline, it was agreed that INS should always open Add/Rescan dialog, but activate the selected file folder just when there is only single file in the selection and the file is not part of library yet..

c) Selecting Add/Rescan from the menu it takes long time to show the Add/Rescan dialog on large databases in the Home view

It seems to be working on 3066.

a. Only Location and Folders pre-select Add/Rescan Files location, this isn't seen in other nodes/files selected.

c. Add/Rescan Files opens instantly on Home/Entire Library.

Leaving for Peke to confirm his side of the usecase.

Verified 3066

All is working, this is much clear

Unable to replicate any of previous notions, even in Folders/Location Add/Rescan dialog behaves normally now with exception when selected track is not in library which then suggest scanning of that folder.

So all should be covered now.
