Summary | 0021333: Auto-tag of compilations album with compilations disabled is very slow or can fail (regression)
Description | When a compilation album is looked up, and the compilations option is then disabled, performance is incredibly slow (sometimes never completing) and memory utilization continues to go up. Moreover, attempting to cancel the operation results in a rapid increase of memory usage and MM crashing.
Steps To Reproduce | 1 Select all tracks in a compilation album (I tested with Locations > Path > The Carpenters > The Singles 1969-1973 [Browser] 2 Initiate auto-tag without 'Allow compilations' enabled --> album is successfully looked up 3 Uncheck 'Allow compilations' --> MM gets stuck on 'File 1 of 12 processing' for 5m+, never seeming to complete. During this phase, memory usage grows constantly 4 Press Cancel to exit the process --> MM fails to respond, and memory usage then rapidly increases to 1GB+ and MM crashes
Additional Information | This issue was originally described at 0021331 and was thought to be a consequence of a volume analysis performance issue. In fact the bug is completely independent.
