Summary | 0021337: Auto-tag: Clicking 'Tag' doesn't tag asynchronously / metadata fails to update in some cases
Description | I don't know when this started, but now, clicking the 'Tag' button causes each of the tracks to get tagged and only after the UI updates to show that they're tagged does the dialog close. In some cases, this can take 5+ seconds. This should be done asynchronously as it has been done in the past so as not to block the UI.
Tags | No tags attached. | ||||

2) This fix actually didn't work correctly. Now MM fails to update metadata in the same manner as it fails to update artwork! e.g. 1 Navigate to Music > Locations > Album Path > Album x [List] 2 Select the tracks and auto-tag 3 In the Auto-tag dialog, select all the tracks before the lookup has completed and click 'Tag and continue' immedately upon completion of the lookup --> the tracklist doesn't update to show the changes! 4 Restart MediaMonkey --> the tracklist shows the changes Note: if at step 3, you wait a few second until after the lookup has completed, then the bug doesn't occur. |
|
Made 'Tag & continue' button disabled until lookup is complete. |
|
2) Tested 3075 test build and the change doesn't make a difference. i.e. clicking the Tag button right after the lookup has completed --> failed update of the view for looked up metadata (fixed using F5) and artwork (not fixed using F5) |
