Summary | 0021728: Switching languages may fail
Description | Normally when the user chooses a different language in MMA, the UI switches languages right away. But sometimes, switching languages has no effect and just shows English. Whether this bug occurs or not seems random for most languages, though it seems less likely to occur once a language has been previously selected. Most concerning is that switching to Dutch _always_ fails (for me at least).
Steps To Reproduce | 1 Switch languages at Options > UI > Language --> sometimes, on switch, nothing happens Debug log: Debug log on failed switch to Dutch: 4YD8ILMNR6 2 Go to Settings > System > Languages > App Languages > MediaMonkey --> It shows 'Nederlands' as the selected language even though the UI hasn't switched to Dutch! 3 In the system settings, switch to 'System default' --> Nederlands isn't listed as an available language in the system's list of MMA languages available to choose from!

Although this is working for me, a variant of the issue is still occurring for a user: https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=528867#p528867 |

Re-tested 1272 and I'm able to get MMA to a state in which it partially stops switching languages, although the issue in my case is minor as explained below: 1 Switch from the current language to the next language in the list --> Options > UI dialog appears translated 2 Perform step 1 again, numerous times until the following occurs --> Options > UI dialog appears but isn't translated!. Note: Once this occurs, it seems to occur on most subsequent language switches. 3 Go BACK to Options dialog --> Options dialog (along with the rest of the UI) _is_ translated I haven't been able to replicate the more serious issue that the user observed. |
