Summary | 0002178: Update to new OGG (beta) encoder
Description | According to Hydrogen audio, the newest versions of the OGG encoder (aoTuv Beta 4.51) are much improved over the currently shipping versions. See: http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=15049&st=125 Test results are at: http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=38792&st=0 Note: there is also an accelerated version of the encoder available at: http://homepage3.nifty.com/blacksword/index_e.htm It is 1.5-2x faster at encoding on machines with SSE2 or 3DNow, but I don't know how reliable it is on all platforms.

This was already resolved in MM 2.5.3 when we upgraded to aotuv 4.51. |

Based on the current recommendations, we should upgrade to http://www.geocities.jp/aoyoume/aotuv/source_code/libvorbis-aotuv_b5.7.tar.bz2 |
|
Fixed in build 1615. Vorbis encoder updated to aoTuV B6.03 (the last version with additional fixes), libogg 1.3.0. |
