| Summary | 0021896: Artist images are almost always populated with Album Art | ||||
| Description | On a clean installation, after scanning a few thousand files: 1) Upon scrolling through Music > Artists [Grid] --> images appear (even though Options > Library > Metadata lookup > Background metadata lookup:Artist images is disabled). This is problematic because lookups are disabled, and if that's the case, then it results in all artists being substituted with whatever album art happens to be in the library! 2) After enabling Options > Library > Metadata lookup > Background metadata lookup:Artist images, and then scrolling through Music > Artists [Grid] --> images appear, but again they are almost always album art images! Note: This is a regression, but I'm not sure when it was introduced. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | 1 Clean install of MMW 2 Scan a few thousand files 3 After the scan completes, scroll through Music > Artist [Grid] --> Bug 1) occurs 4 Enable metadata lookup for Artist images 5 Scroll through other portions of Music > Artist [Grid] that don't yet have images --> Bug 2) occurs | ||||
