| Summary | 0022087: Some Audio CDs can't be played correctly due the corrupted library | ||||
| Description | Some Audio CDs already in MM library are played incorrectly. Audio CD do not play even it is inserted correctly and recognized by MM. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | All test Library are on FTP 0. Installed clean MM portable -> Canceled all wizard steps and closed MM, Burned Audio CD from Sample CUE Image (Link to CUE+BIN attached) using free IMGBurn https://www.imgburn.com 1. To confirm CD is not playing correctly I used my fresh backup library (2026-05-03 MM5.rar) and CD do not play normally. 2. To confirm I used my FTP library from 2023 (2023-09-19 MM5.rar) and CD played normally. 3. Only Difference from 2004 when CD was added to library and few days ago is that I analyzed Volume for that CD | ||||

Compared both DB versions and something has screwed up the path, I guess it won't be related to particular CD, but rather to exact repro steps that cause the path to corrupt.. |

@Peke: it would be great if you could find repro steps how to "corrupt" the path ? BTW: Volume analyzing is disabled for 'Audio CDs', so I wonder how you could trigger it? |
|
|
BTW2: I found that the path is editable in Properties and this is one of the ways how one can damage the path.. Couldn't this be also your case or a kind of addon or mass edit / move ? |
|
|
Anyhow, I could implement auto-correction for CDA tracks, i.e. whenever the path is a nonsense then auto-correct it to :\Track0X.cda Assigned back to me to implement the correction. |

Looks like you are right, I was able to corrupt path without even initiating Volume Analyze. Looks like it is enough to Insert CD and start to play in order to get things corrupt. Main issue is that once I initiated Analyze Volume MM library gets updated permanently. Note: I am able find workaround for 0022075, but Analyze tracks is not needed to trigger path corruption. |

re 0022087:0081037: You do that anyway as it will also fix corrupted Library on Optimize/Rebuild re 0022087:0081036: No I never edited paths in properties. |

Thanks for sharing the video, at 4:00 of the 'CDInfo.mp4' it does not look that the path changed, but that the CD became temporarily inaccessible (like if you eject it and insert it again in a while) ? Anyhow I'll add the path correction for the CDs in your library that have already "corrupted" path and I'll add prevention so that the path for Audio CD tracks cannot be changed. |

Although I haven't been able to replicate I added the path correction for CDA tracks. 1) When path is wrong in DB and track is read from DB then the path is self-corrected 2) When anyone attempts to damage the path then it is self-corrected on writing to DB (e.g. the case of changing path in Properties) |

ok, reopening, now I replicated path corruption after ejecting / re-inserting CD |

The key to replicate is to start MM without CD inserted, focus the CD at first and then insert the CD into drive, but 'Convert files...' dialog to rip the files needs to be shown (to corrupt the paths) |
