Although, I generally speaking I agree with this, I don't think I agree _completely_ with all suggestions. I'd rather not do this as a last minute change and let it a little mature for the next version. For example I suppose that number of options in Tree settings will grow and we'll need its current sheet. Etc. |

After a bit more thought, I think that it would make more sense to have the following structure in 'Library' configuration: Library (content remains as is) . -View (this contains the content described in section 2) . -Tags & Playlists ... With this in mind I suggest that we add the following string Immediately and then reduce this to Urgent for possible resolution during the stabilization period: 'Tree Settings' |

My problem with this is that for Tree Settings we will probably need a full sheet node soon (more visibility of node adjusting, etc.). For that reason, I'd push this and check out what to do with this for MM 2.6. |

As discussed with Jiri. No time for this right now. When we do implement it, we need to also figure out how to implement this without increasing the number of nodes. |

On the assumption that the tree will be configured on a separate panel, we can take the following approach: Library > Appearance: [x] Show tooltips for obscured track properties . . [x] Show all track properties in tooltips [ ] Show 'All' in Location nodes at: ____ [ ] Show 'All' in My Computer nodes at: ___ Rename Custom Field Headings (requires restart) Custom 1: ___________________ Custom 2: ___________________ Custom 3: ___________________ Custom 4: ___________________ Custom 5: ___________________ Note: the remaining items on the Appearance and Tree nodes are: a) Transparency settings (Now Playing-->Now Playing config, Equalizer-->equalizer options button) b) User friendly masks (-->General tab) c) Tree configuration (web, radio, m3u). THese would be handled as described in bug 553. |

Generally speaking it looks fine. Just Show 'All'... options were also proposed in issue 0000553. I guess it isn't big deal which sheet we choose... Feel free to assign to Ludek then. |

The final spec for 553 doesn't include the 'show all' function or .m3u configuration. Thus this bug is primarily cleanup after 553 is complete. It consists of: a) Completely eliminating the Tree node by: . i) moving 'show all' options to the Appearance node . ii) moving the 'show .m3u' option to the Appearance node b) Removing the Equalizer transparency settings from the Appearance node (since this is now directly configurable in the equalizer) c) Moving the MiniPlayer transparency setting from the Appearance node to the Options > Player (right next to 'MediaMonkey' in the MM vs Winamp section. d) Move the 'show tooltips' options from the Library panel to Library> Appearances e) Move the [x] User friendly masks option to the General panel (immediately following 'show tooltips for context help'. f) This would result in the following on Library > Appearance: [x] Show tooltips for obscured track properties . . [x] Show all track properties in tooltips [ ] Show 'All' node for contents of folders at _________ (i.e. combine the 2 options for Location/My Computer) [ ] Show .m3u playlists in My Computer nodes Rename Custom Field Headings (requires restart) Custom 1: ___________________ Custom 2: ___________________ Custom 3: ___________________ Custom 4: ___________________ Custom 5: ___________________ Setting to 'immediate' as this involves string changes. |

All is done in build 1062 except f) [ ] Show 'All' node for contents of folders at _________ (i.e. combine the 2 options for Location/My Computer) I'm not sure how exactly would you like to combine these items (with the indication whether it is Location or My Computer node), but I am afraid that there could be some problems during the localization/translation process because it is too much texts on the single line. |

The actual string is: [ ] Show 'All' node for contents of folders at _________ The text that was in the brackets was just an explanation for you :) The reason why this is ok is because Location and My Computer are the only nodes with 'folders'. |

Looks good. Just a couple of additional tweaks: 1) I accidentally forgot about 'ignore prefixes' when I made the spec. Please Move 'Ignore prefixes when sorting by Artist:_The________' back . to Library > Appearance (just above '[ ] Show 'All' nodes....' ). 2) The spacing on the Appearances panel should be evened out, and if possible, a group created around the first section so that all entries are left-aligned. |
