Summary | 0002365: Some MP3s don't play
Description | When we switched from in_mpg123 to using WMP's MP3 codec, it caused playback on some MP3s to suffer (i.e. some MP3s don't play in MM though they do in Winamp--a sample is posted to ftp). Since we're already paying license fees for Gold users, would it make sense to include a more highly optimized MP3 input plugin with the Gold version?

Isn't the fee only for encoder? We would have to pay fees for decoder then, wouldn't we? |

The fee is for both the encoder and the decoder, so we would be free to use the MP3 input plugin if we desired. I don't think this is critical, though, especially given the new plugin installation framework that's coming up. |
