Summary | 0000244: Return rip error messages once after CD has ripped
Description | Users have reported that when ripping a CD that is faulty, no error message is generated/displayed indicating which tracks had problems and possibly exhibit audio corruption. This should be corrected by providing a single error message after a rip operation.

In bug #497, Jiri mentioned that: I fixed another problem - when there were read errors during ripping, they were ignored (e.g. when CD was played digitally by Win XP and I tried to rip the same CD). This is now fixed, user is asked to select: Retry, Ignore or Cancel. |

Tried testing this with cd_reader plug-in, but could not generate errors while playing and ripping concurrently. Also, tested a CD with scratches, but could not cause this error dialog to appear. Chances are that the app simply read the CD successfully and that's why this occurred. I'm just re-opening for you to comment--is it likely that this message will rarely occur and that's why I haven't seen it? |

Per http://www.songs-db.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=933, the error should appear once after all the tracks have been ripped (or at least attempted to be ripped). Raising to urgent. |

As I understand, this issue has been resolved, BUT, returns an error as each error is encountered, rather than a single error message after the rip operation. |
