| Description | According to users, rating tracks in MediaMonkey for awhile eventually results in a crash. User reports also mention some other side effects prior to the crash such as redraw problems, however, I've only been able to replicate the crash (in my case MM froze). Here is the full report from Matt (eineins at yahoo.com): What I am doing is loading in a playlist of all unrated songs. (Nearly 12,000) I have installed the script attached so I can quickly rate files and move on. This is the only script in use. I go to the node rating/Unrated and then I press the pay now button. I listen to the song long enough to rate it. I press the appropriate key to rate 1-5 based on the script. Then I press the "9" numberpad key to skip to the next song. (problem occurs on shuffle or straight play) I repeat this process 2-10 times (varies) and then the player display freezes. If I minimise and restore the player returns or if I undock the player and redock the player module it returns as well. Doing so prolongs the point of the final crash. But it will eventually happen. If I continue on rate, next song, rate, next song the entire program will freeze. I have waited as long as 15 minutes for maybe a process to finish but no luck. Only way to get the program to return is to force quit it(ctrl Alt Del) or right click-close on the task bar) If I am not rating it works fine I can skip and play all I like it is only when I try to rate songs which is important to me. I have tried to rate without the script same issue. both Right clicking and rate and also using the custimization menu. | ||||

Fixed in build 1001. - The freeze could have occured in in_wmp3 or in_wma plug-ins on rapid starting/stopping of playback. Both plug-ins are fixed now. |

Can no longer replicate this issue 2.5.4.974. Although it may be related to bug 0002609 in which ratings are on occasion not saved to tags. |
