Summary | 0002890: Play Now / Last config doesn't apply when playing from Explorer
Description | If the user has configured 'Play Now' to play without clearing the NP list, then double-clicking a track in MM works correctly. However, if the user double-clicks a track outside of MM, then the track starts playing BUT the NP list cleared! Similarly, if the user sets the default double-click behaviour to Play Last, then this works correctly from within MM, but not from Explorer. Is it possible to change any of this easily (e.g. just fixing the first issue would resolve the issue for some users). A possible workaround is to document how users can modify default Explorer behaviour by editing the registry.

Is this trivial to fix? Another user recently complained about this.. |

There is already config for this: Options -> General -> OS Integration -> Default action for files: [Play Now^] Changing it to 'Play Last' or 'Play Next' works correctly (not clearing NP list). Could you specify how exactly it should work otherwise? I guess that the problem isn't only in the logic, but also that these various similar UI options are devided into several option sheets making it really hard to understand how they are related once to another: OS Integration -> Default action for files: [Play Now^] Player -> Default 'Double-Click' action Playback Rules -> 'Play Now' Action Probably should be revised and simplified for MM5 (related to #4800) |

As pointed out by ludek, this was resolved some time ago. |
