Summary | 0002949: Auto-conversion: Kbps field is updated incorrectly in some cases
Description | When you edit a track's properties, the timestamp of the track changes which causes the track to be resynched on the next Synch operation (assuming it is on the AutoSynch List). When Auto-Conversion is enabled, the above is also supposed to occur, however, MM: 1) indicates that the tracks are being recopied even though they're not (to save time on the synch operation??--please clarify whether this is intended behavior) 2) updates track properties in the device db to reflect the changes made in the library, but does so incorrectly--as it also updates the kbps field to the pre-auto-conversion value (even though the track hasn't been recopied)! (note: 'rebuild database' causes the kbps values to correct).

The description is talking about iPod? I guess so, because I don't see how could this happen for WMDM devices. |
|
Yes--I overlooked that detail (The problem was reported for an iPod, and I only tested on an iPod). |

Fixed in build 1034. 1) Yes, this is to save unnecessary conversion and copy operation. So, this feature remains as is. 2) Ok, this was a bug, fixed now. |
