Summary | 0003114: Automatic horizontal shift is annoying
Description | If the user clicks a field in the tracklist that extends beyond the right margin, the entire tracklist shifts to the left. This can be useful, but on the whole is fairly annoying, especially in Album Art + Details view since it causes Album Art to always get obstructed from view. If we don't want to completely eliminate this feature, a possible compromise would be to implement as vista does--i.e. -slower movement so the user doesn't lose focus on what they're reading -minimalize the movement so that only the field being examined appears -once focus is back to fields on the left move the tracklist back to the right For now, I think the simplest would be to eliimnate this 'feature'.

I think that the feature should remain in MM as it's quite important for editing/navigating in the tracklist. However, I agree that it unnecessarily move too much to the right, it would probably be better to only fully show the clicked field. Assigning to Petr to review/implement what we can do with VT. |

I don't think it's really important, but if we are keeping it, please make certain that it won't cause unintended changes to ratings. i.e. with the current implementation I've accidentally changed the ratings of numerous tracks because I click a field causing a sudden shift and suddenly the cursor is over the ratings field!! |

Fixed. In current implementation focused column will only be fully visible, but not centered as is before. Will be available in 1046. |
