Summary | 0003405: File Monitor: Start up scans should trigger 'Remove missing tracks' dialog
Description | When the File Monitor is active and 'Remove unavailable files' is enabled, the situation can arise in which an unavailable network location is deleted entirely, without any user feedback. If a Startup Scan detects that tracks are missing, ?and [x] Remove unavailable tracks is enabled? it should trigger the 'Remove Missing Tracks' dialog specced in bug 0000863. The question remains what to do when the File Monitor is just running in the background.

Peke suggested a partial solution at 0008863: - If the inaccessible tracks are only on a drive that isn't plugged in, then rather than running the missing tracks dialog, the tracks should just be greyed out - On the other hand, if some of the tracks are not from such a drive, then the dialog should run as it does normally. |
