Summary | 0000395: Back/Forward arrows should retain tracklist positional information / searches / url
Description | Currently, the back/forward arrows allow the user to return to a previous view, however, the view does not appear in a very useful manner because positioning information isn't retained. e.g. if the user was looking at the 200th/1000 tracks, going back to the view would show the first 0000025:0000040 tracks instead of the ~200th one. This isn't what the user typically expects.

I would defer this bug because it isn't simple at all. There is a number of problems, like preserving sort order and selection, handling changed content of the view and also the issue that reading any node content takes some time >0. |
|
In addition, if the user does multiple searches, it should be possible to go 'back' to see the search results. See: http://www.songs-db.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=842&view=previous edited on: 10-30-03 09:01 |

Here's a list of what's most important in this issue, in order of priority: 1) Browse back/forward through search results 2) Preserve selection 3) Retain sort order i.e. if we can implement 1) but 2) and 3) are too difficult, that is still a huge improvement. |
