Summary | 0004237: Japanese Localization Issues (summary)
Description | Here's a summary of the remaining localization issues in MM 3.0.1 from Reika (Japanese translator): Issues that should be solved(MM3.0.1.1127 and MM2.5.5.998): 1) Problem that Japanese characters is not correctly written with m3u(utf8) 2) Problem that utf8 cannot be disabled with "Mediamonkey.m3u" 3) Problem that Japanese characters cannot be correctly acquired from CDDB http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=23235 4) Problem that Japanese characters cannot be correctly transmitted to amazon.co.jp 5) Problem that Japanese characters cannot be correctly received from amazon.co.jp http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10124 http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=15116 http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=13172 6) Problem that all characters are changed when Japanese language file is applied with Win98/ME I have not confirmed (6) directly by myself. However, this problem is known widely in the past in Japan, and it seems to be generated in mm3.

Fixed in build | 1128 | ||||

Fixed in build 1128. 1-3) Asked in forum for more details. It probably isn't really serious though... 4) Fixed. 5) Cannot reproduce, it was possibly fixed since the time it was reported. 6) I'm not sure what exactly does it mean, but since 9x/ME systems don't fully support Unicode it possibly isn't a real bug. Even if it is a bug, it probably isn't worth fixing due to a very low usage of 9x/ME systems. |

1) Fixed in build 1128. 2) Since 1) is fixed, this isn't an issue anymore. Testing note for 1): The change implies that any part of MM that works with M3U can contain a regression. There isn't a big risk, but it should be briefly tested. |

3) Fixed in build 1128 (it was related to data storage to CDPlayer.ini). |
