Note: ftp server contains a debug log.

Suggestion: if you create an hpcdeburner application using the latest hpcde code, then I can ask the users if they're able to burn using the hpcde burner so that we know if the problem is in our code or theirs.

I have just uploaded the newest (v2.10) sample app to our FTP server to the root's subdir called "appTest"

The sample app isn't working for me. As soon as I attempt to execute it, I get the following error:
This application failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.

Note: I copied both the exe and the .dll to a single directory (...\desktop\temp) and then double clicked on the exe.

Ok, it is recompiled with static_mt libs v2.10 now.

Please, try if it works for you.

The file (AudioBurnerU_static_mt.exe) is uploaded to appTest directory again.

It seems that the reason for this is that as of 2.0.2, Win 98/ME support is no longer included.

Per discussion with Jiri, we should compile a .dll based on 2.0.1 for users of Win9x, and make this available via our support forum. If this is a very common issue, then we can create a separate package for Win9x, but I suspect that this won't be necessary.

Note: Jiri indicated that MM 2.5.5.998 was based on v 1.99.3 of Primoburner.

Ok, we have to use 1.99.3 (the same as MM 2.5), but problem is that I have only 1.99.3 for MSVC60 which they deprecated in version 2.02 too. We are using VS2005 now. So I will need installation package of 1.99.3 for VS2005 from them. Rusty, could you request on this via email directed to Primo support?

1.99 VS2005 version is posted to the ftp server.

The ideal solution would be for the installer to automatically install this .dll on Win9x installations and the regular .dll on everything else.

The next-best solution would be to create a patch that users would copy on top of MM to fix the problem.

I'd rather be for a separate installer, Win9x is a dying platform and >300kb increase of installer size probably isn't worth it. I think that a small add-on installer would be just fine (probably just a MMIP package).

I have just compiled hpCDBurn.dll by using the old (1.99 VS2005) libs (the dll is attached on FTP in MMBugs/bug4284 dir.), and I was trying to create a mmip package for this, but I guess that installer will be needed because hpCDBurn.dll needs to be replaced and this cannot be done if MM is running.

Created Inno Setup installer, it is attached on our FTP:
MediaMonkey_3_hpCDBurn_Win98_Add-on_1_0.exe

Rusty, review the wording and re-assign to me for modification.
It is called just "MediaMonkey 3.0 hpCDBurn Win98 Add-on"

Suggested Product Name: MediaMonkey 3 Win98 CD/DVD Burn Patch

I'll rename the .exe to: MM3_Win98_burn_patch_1_0.exe

Ok, MM3_Win98_burn_patch_1_0.exe is attached on our FTP.
