Summary | 0004316: f_aac.dll: Wrong Channel Mapping with 5.1 MP4 files
Description | As reported here: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=25052 Mediamonkey maps the channels of surround MP4 files wrong. way to reproduce: get the 6 channel test file: http://download.microsoft.com/download/winmediatech40/Utility/1.0/W98NT42KMeXP/EN-US/6channel.exe encode it with free nero aac encoder, playback the encoded file. Channels are mapped wrong. I attached the encoded file on our FTP (6_channel_ID2.mp4), so that anyone could easily reproduce the problem.

1. Does f_aac_codec play it right? 2. Does QuickTime play it right? 3. If so, can you fix f_aac.dll? |
|
Re: 1. By using f_aac_codec it throws AV. Re: 2. By using QuickTime it seems to play right. Re: 3. By using f_aac it seems to map channels wrong. I'm going to study more once I have a time. |

Fixed in build 1135. The 5.1 channels are mapped correctly in f_aac.dll now. |
