Summary | 0004394: Update all podcasts : Add an option to download all podcasts simultaneously rather then sequentially
Description | Based on wishlist forum: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=24426 It would make sense to have an option to download podcasts simultaneously rather than sequentially when updating all podcasts.

As discussed over IM, the best approach for 3.0 would be to simply default to downloading 3 podcasts at a time (each download thread could be for multiple episodes). e.g. if the following new episodes exist: 1) Podcast 1 (episodes 1,2,3) 2) Podcast 2 (episodes 3,4) 3) Podcast 3 (episodes 9,10) 4) Podcast 4 (episodes 2,3) then MM should start 3 download threads i.e. 1 for 1) another for 2) and a third for 3). As soon as one of those completes, 4) would begin. Note: in the future (3.1) this would ideally be somehow integrated with an internal download manager. |
