Summary | 0004636: Ability to disable Hyperlink functionality via context menu
Description | Some users are annoyed by the Amazon hyperlinks. We've made it possible to disable them completely, but it's not yet possible to do so via the context menu. We should add either of the following: 1) A 'None' option to the context menu (the string already exists) -- this is preferable 2) The ability to check a checked item in the context menu to disable it

Forget the initial suggestion--it doesn't make sense. A better suggestion would be to just have an 'Options' link at the bottom of the context menu so that it's more obvious to users how to reconfigure the default. i.e. click 'Options' --> Library Appearance panel. Note: The context menu UI is unfortunately a bit problematic in the sense that it conveys that the user can reset the default via the context menu. I'm not sure if there's an alternate visual representation that can be used to avoid this. Perhaps clicking the button area should change the default, but clicking outside of the button shouldn't.... |
