Summary0005006: Sync truncates multi artist attribute incorrectly
DescriptionWith the multi-field separator as ; (default) and in the Device profile the removal of multiple artists if available enabled.

When synchronizing AC/DC, the resulting Artist is AC and the Album Artist is AC/DC.

This seems to have 2 bugs.
1) Multi artist removal over incorrect separator
2) Artist and Album Artist are treated differently (by design or bug?)

I need some clarification - do you mean some MTP device connected using d_WMDM plug-in, or some iPod? You see 'AC' artist when browsing the device then?

I'm syncing to a SD memory card using d_WMDM plugin. AC is shown when I browse to the card in MediaMonkey itself.

I still can't reproduce. I suppose that card is connected using some card reader, i.e. as a mass-storage device (with a drive letter), right? Then MM shows content of the card by reading tags from the device and they aren't modified during sync, i.e. they should always show 'AC/DC'. Am I missing something? Any other specific steps?

Correct I have build in card reader with drive letter. When syncing AC/DC the Artist field get's modified to AC (as shown in MediaMonkey and Windows Explorer). This is with the option to "Use only first value when multiple Artists/Composers exist" enabled as well as disabled.
My separator value is ;.

Added example file.

Ok, now I see. Unfortunatelly this can't be fixed at our end, this is a problem in WMDM layer that provides data. The tag itself is correct, but WMDM reports it incorrectly. If you browse your device in My Computer node (i.e. as an ordinary drive), you can see that 'AC/DC' is correctly shown.
