Summary | 0005062: Podcasts: cannot delete Dead subscriptions
Description | If the user has a dead subscription (one that has been unsubscribed e.g. rename a music track from Genre=Rock to Genre=Podcast), then it's difficult to delete the greyed out node. 1) If the user changes the Genre from Podcast to Rock, then the node remains--it shouldn't. 2) If the user presses the 'Delete' key, then nothing happens. What should happen is: -If the node is an active subscription, then the Unsubscribe dialog should appear -If the node is a dead subscription, then the Delete dialog should appear i.e.: --Are you sure you want to delete xxx -- o Delete from Library only -- o Delete from Library and Computer 3) If the user right clicks on the node, --Live subscription should show 'Unsubscribe' option --Dead subscription should show 'Delete' option

Re: 1) I am not sure about this, I would suggest to leave it as is. i.e. If user change genre from 'podcast' to 'podcasts/radio' or 'net source' then it is not obvious whether he want to leave the track in the dead subscription or not. If he doesn't want then he can change the ganre from 'podcast' and delete the track from library and re-scan (see 0004816) in order to remove the track from the dead subscription. And vise versa renaming to genre 'podcast', removing and rescaning gets the track to the subscription. Re: 2) Added in 1204. Re: 3) Added in 1204, but shouldn't we rather use 'Remove' instead of 'Delete'?? in order to keep it consistent with other nodes. |
