Summary | 0005438: Add 'Maintain library' -> Rebuild full-text search index
Description | Because of problems reported here: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=38007&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&st there should be a way to rebuild full-text search index. I suggest to add new checkbox to the Maintain Library section: [ ]Rebuild full-text search index that would be always unselected by default. But for MM 3.1 we have translation frozen so it looks like this needs to wait post MM 3.1. Nevertheless there really SHOULD be a way to rebuild the index in case of such a problems so that user wouldn't need to rebuild all DB (and lost his playcounts) if just the full-text search index is corrupted and not all the DB.

As discussed with Jiri, for now the best solution is add this to the [ ] Optimize Database (Complete) |
|
Will this be available for 3.1 or post 3.1? |
|
Nyn, added in build 1231. I tested directly on your DB and it fixes the issue. |

Thank you, I am glad to hear I will not be able to get it fixed without losing my db. |
