Summary | 0005634: Now Playing views don't show field selector
Description | In the Now Playing Window, or in the tracklist, when the Now Playing node is active, there is no indicator showing when a field is selected. In contrast, for any other node, if the user clicks a Track in the tracklist, the field that was clicked is highlighted with a dotted line around the field. This different treatment of the Now Playing node may be related to the fact that the timer for field editing in the tracklist is different for Now Playing tracks.

I agree that this should be fixed in case of Now Playing node. That said, I'm not sure about Now Playing window. Since it's mainly used in 'read-only' mode, i.e. not for editing, the focus rectangle would be more often annoying than anything else. This possibly brings a more complex question, whether there shouldn't be two modes of MM operation, one for editing and other for playing only. The second mode is quite similar to the current Party mode, maybe with less restrictions. Focus rectangles would certainly make sense in the first mode, but not in the other. Just an idea... |

I would suggest fixing the problem for now. If we decide at a later date that we want to have a read-only mode of operation for the NP Window, then we can do so then. |

So let's add the focus rectangle to the NP window, but let's hide it in the Party mode. |
