Summary | 0005707: Drives don't show up for limited user account
Description | When MM is run using an account with admin rights, all drives appear as expected. i.e. in My Computer, I see both the C: and the F: drives. When MM is run using an account with limited rights, the F: drive does not show up at all! (note that My Documents on this system is in a directory on the the F: drive ). If the user scans the F: drive (by manually entering F: , since it doesn't appear in the tree), then all of the contents are scanned but cannot be played--they all have a path of [DATA]\Documents and Settings\Rusty\.... (i.e. they aren't prefaced with F: ). Assigning to Jiri for triage.

I don't know what could be causing this. Can't it be because of some specific policies set for limited rights users? Is it a new problem, did it happen in MM 3.0? Please send me a couple of screenshots both for admin and limited rights users, hopefully I'll get some idea. I'd interested in seeing screenshots of Explorer and in MM of My Computer node and Add to Library dialog tree. |

I tested it with MM 3.1 and 3.0.7, and the problem is new to 3.1 :( . Several screen grabs are posted to the ftp server (note: I neglected to create a screengrab of the Scan Folders dialog, however, it similarly shows a tree missing the F: drive). |
