| Description | This comes from issue 0000534 where is suggested the simplified approach for device configuration and burning. Suggestion is: 1. On the filter options sheet: Remove "Type:" dropdown 2. On the Sync-list options sheet: Remove the "Filter:" dropdown 3. Re the latter question: Yes, I forgot to mention the Audiobooks tab, the tab should be merged together with Music and Playlists tab to the one I suggested (edited in description). The only tab that probably needs to be separate is the Podcasts tab, because there user wants to set also which episodes should be synced. Re the former question: I think that when Jiri suggested the approach in 0000534 he didn't mean that each filter should have the subnodes (Location, Title, Artist, Album Artist, Composer, Conductor, Director, Album, Genre, Year, Rating, ...), but rather that if a user wants to sync music from Composer = Vivaldi then he can create playlist "Vivaldi" and sync the playlist. It is similar approach like in iTunes. This will simplify things a lot and all the related issues will be resolved by using this approach. We can wait for Jiri and discuss it, because it is quite major change, but I think it is reasonable to go this way. |

Yes, the idea was to simplify our current approach as much as possible, while still making it useful. By removing Artists nodes from the scheme, it will all be much easier - i.e. the suggested solution should look like exactly as in Description of this Issue. Rusty, do you agree? |
