Summary | 0006499: ID3 tag is lost in some cases
Description | For the supplied file, editing the file causes the artwork/metadata to be lost. Reproducible by: 1. Ensure that Tools -> Options -> Library -> Tags & Playlists -> "Update tags when editing properties" is checked. 2. Add the file to the library. 3. Right-click the track, and hit "Properties" 4. Click in "Album Artist" and type something. Hit OK. 5. Look in Mp3Tag and all the meta data / artwork has gone. The same problem occurs just by examining / editing the file in the 'My Computer' node (without adding it to the library).

The conversion from ID3v2.2 to ID3v.2.3 doesn't go well, there's an empty frame (hex: 00000000) added which causes that this ID3v2 tag is completely ignored. |
Fixed in build 1314. |
Re-opening for inclusion in 3.2.3. |
Testing notes: Should be tested also on ID3v2.4 tags, to make sure it doesn't introduce any regression there. |
Merged to 3.2.3 |
Verified 1301. |
