Summary | 0006585: Search subnodes can't be cleared or hidden
Description | When a search is made, a new node "Search results" appears in the tree. Sub-nodes appear under this node for each search that is made. Currently, the last 11 searches are saved here, while on a new search the oldest is discarded. Still, there is no way to clear out this list of searches other than to close and reopen MM. I'd suggest two potential solutions: 1. Add a new context menu item (eg "Clear previous searches") 2. Allow to hide the "Search results" node via the view settings window

You can remove search result sub-nodes via right click and "Remove" or the DEL key while on one of the nodes. An entry on the main node to "clear/delete/remove all" may prove beneficial for times where there are several nodes (to save from several clicks) however. The search node is hidden until a search is made (if I recall), so if someone doesn't use an Entire Library search then there's no node. Instead of the option to hide it via the options, perhaps instead making it so that when there are no longer any sub-nodes left, it automatically re-hides? |
