Summary | 0006723: ISDBPlaylist::SetAutoplaylistQuery method needed
Description | We need a possibility to set SQL queries for autoplaylists.
Additional Information | There are many requests for more flexible settings of autoplaylists, for example: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=32572 http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=23434 http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=31878 http://mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=158198#p158198 http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=48816#p48816 http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=10262 http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=22248#p22248 Using of SQL would be the most practical approach. Note: this is not the same request as it is for GetAutoPlaylistQuery (http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=6412). Honestly, I cannot see any use for GetAutoPlaylistQuery, and I think that SetAutoplaylistQuery would be much more useful.

I'm guessing that using that way you can Inject SQLs and make it Autoplaylist even exact query is not available thrum MM UI? |
|
Yes, as I said it would be nice if we could create autoplaylists in scripts using SQL since MM cannot do that and probably you don't have a plan to implement such thing. Actually, I could already create nodes using SQL in Magic Nodes, but its users are complaining why such nodes cannot be synced to some device. If we could create autoplaylist using SQL, users would be able to sync such SQL-created nodes. |
