Summary | 0006784: MiniPlayer: Artifacts/Strange behavior for Video Playback
Description | 1. Playing Video in Fullscreen while MM is in MiniPlayer Mode can cause a corrupted version of the miniPlayer to appear on Top of the video (see repro steps below). 2. While Playing Video in MiniPlayer Mode, if the MiniPlayer is set to "always on top", the setting does not have any effect on the Video Window (i.e. it does not stay on top). This issue also applies to the NP list (and is most likely tracked elsewhere).

Repro Steps for the first bug are kind of complicated: 1. Start MM (Default Skin Glided) and verify that miniPlayer is set to 'always on top' 2. Restart MM, and initiate Playback of Video File in main player 3. Minimize to Mini Player 4. Double Click on Video Window to make it fullScreen 5. Minimize from FS back to miniplayer as it appeared in step 3. 6. Double Click on Video Window to make it fullScreen --> Corrupted miniPlayer appears as documented by Peke (bug #1 Note: if you then Maximize to the main player and close MM, the main window closes, and then a second mini-window closes. I'm guessing that this is related to the bug. |

A few more related issues: 2) Once issue 1) occurs, if the user minimizes back to the original Video Window (let's call it Full Window for consistency), then when the mouse hovers over the Minimize/Maximize buttons within the video window, they flash endlessly 3) If the video is playing in full-screen mode, and it ends, full screen mode doesn't close 4) The 'minimize' button should behave similarly to how it does in the regular player (i.e. it should minimize from Full Window to the Art region instead of just repositioning the video) Mentioned at: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=55261 5) The Video Window should have the same attributes as the MiniPlayer (i.e. it should 'Stay on top' if the miniplayer is configured to stay on top. 6) Ideally, Video Window should look like the NP window (i.e. caption bar instead of title bar) 7) Ideally, NP and Video window should be able to dock to the MiniPlayer window and retain their position. |
