Summary | 0006887: 1179 'Convert to' fails to convert to destination | ||||
Description | Selection tracklist right-click Send to... > Folder (Rip/Convert) > C: > Convert to C: fails to press 'Convert track(s) to new destination' in the Convert Track dialog box, meaning 'Convert track(s), replacing the originals' may be pressed, giving the wrong result, possibly losing audio data. On a clean install of MM, the default config is to use the '(o) Convert track(s) to new destination' option when converting tracks. The only time it isn't is if the user has previously set it to 'replace originals'. i.e. MM persists the previously used setting. I think that this is reasonable--otherwise a user that prefers the latter approach will have to keep resetting the dialog. |

Rusty, what's with "Resolution: unable to reproduce". Your comment suggests you did reproduce this. > The only time it isn't is if the user has previously set it > to 'replace originals'. Unfortunately this happens if the user changes the setting for the different command Tools Convert Format. I suggest separate settings. |
